User Account Access Level

by | Jan 28, 2018 | GRIDview Users-Group

Prior to logging into GRIDview a user account must be created. Once you create an account, it will be authenticated and associated with one or more Customer (End User) accounts by tech support.

A project manager is named for all new accounts who then establishes which users are permitted to access GRIDview and what rights are given to the access level.

There are 3 Access Levels:

Admin
Data Writer
Subscriber

Subscriber access has the capability to view tag information as well as view overall status of the GRIDlink. A Subscriber can export tags and alarms, view tags, and view trend screens.

Data Writer access has the capability to view and edit tag information as well as view overall status of the GRIDlink. Along with all capabilities of the subscriber, a Data Writer can edit transfer all, opt out, configure meters, and edit register values.

Admin access has the capability to completely control the GRIDlink. Along with all capabilities of the Subscriber and Data Writer, an Admin can manipulate field device settings, change templates, import files, import/export tags and Alarms, send operational commands, and edit tag and alarm values.
